THE VILLA
Villa Sant'Anastasio - historic villa near San Gimignano and Volterra which dates back to the 14th century. The ground floor of 420 sq m. is renovated and rented out by its owners as a single private holiday residence. Five en-suites. Maximum occupancy - 12 adults and 4 kids. One of the best holiday accommodations in the San Gimignano / Volterra area. Close to Siena, Florence, Pisa, Chianti and Bolgheri.

The Villa enjoys complete privacy: noone else except the members of your party will stay in the Villa. Large 'infinity' swimming pool (shared with owners of the limited number of houses in the Borgo) overlooking the skyline of the ancient City of Volterra.

For Holiday stays Villa Sant'Anastasio offers five en-suites and one non en-suite room. When rented out for Events the Villa provides two large indoor rooms for a seated dinner (max capacity 40 people). Same number of people can sit outside - weather permitting. Separate dancing room is available inside the Villa. When booked for indoor seating Event maximum of 8 people can stay in the Villa overnight. When booked for outdoor seating Event maximum of 11 people can stay in the Villa overnight.
The Villa is tastefully decorated and furnished with materials, furniture and equipment of highest quality. All rooms have luxury king size (180x200) beds. At special request some beds could be separated into single beds.​
Over one meter thick walls of the Villa and the stone ceilings make air-conditioning completely unnecessary. It is always fresh inside the accommodation regardless of the temperature outside.

Large kitchen and dining area with large dining table for 16 people. The Villa has its own private 'giardino' with beautiful garden furniture where guests can relax or enjoy private 'al fresco' breakfasts lunches and dinners or for have an outdoor seating event.

Unpaved road of about 2 km leads from the main road SS68 to the villa. Owners of sports cars or low cars or bikes may find the road somewhat challenging. The Villa is located in the Tuscan rural area, to which people come for tranquility. You are in the middle of Mother Nature in the very center of Europe!​

HOLIDAY STAYS & EVENTS
​PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE BOOKING RULES

For Holiday stays the Villa should be booked booked for a minimum period of 6 (six) days. Arrival time is after 4:00pm. Departure time is before 12:00pm. The Villa is cleaned on arrival and departure and linen, towels and pool towels are provided for the whole week. If the Villa is booked for more than 1 (one) week, the Villa is cleaned on every 6th (sixth) days and linen, towels and pool towels are changed on that day.

When rented out for Events the Villa should be rented ​for a minimum of 3 (three) nights. The Villa is available at 10:00am on the day of arrival and should be vacated at 10:00am on day of departure. Separate payment applies to every extra day. Cost of event catering, wine and other costs are charged separately by private Chef and her team. ​
​
City tax and extras are is paid separately upon departure.

Large 'infinity' pool overlooking a stunning Tuscan landscape and ancient Volterra city skyline. Pool towels are provided. Pool is shared with other guests in the Borgo.

Catering, private chef

Self-catering is possible. Breakfast is NOT included, can be provided by our private chef. Lunches, dinners and cooking classes can be booked with our private chef.
Events​
​
Our private chef and her team will arrange the whole event for you. No outside catering or self catering. No self purchased drinks (including wine) are allowed.
Agriturismo Products
​
Biologic Wine and Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced by "Sant'Anastasio Societa Agricola" can be tasted and purchased on site.

San Gimignano, Volterra and more

Spending a day in each of the two true treasures of the area: San Gimignano (20 km) and Volterra (10 km) is a must. Florence, Sienna and Pisa are all within one hour drive.
Chianti Classico area
​
Drive into Chianti Classico for a day. World famous Chianti area is only an hour away from the Villa.
Other Tuscan towns
Visiting smaller towns of Casole d'Elsa (15 km), Colle di Val d'Elsa (20 km), Montegiggioni (30 km) and Chertaldo Alto (30 km) is highly recommended.
Bolgheri and the Seaside

The home of Supertoscana vines, Bolgheri (50 km) is less than one hour drive from the Villa. Beaches of Bibbona and Donoratico are just one hour away from the Villa. Most scenic drive along SR68 is guaranteed!

We will be happy to recommend you the very best restaurants in the area and introduce your company to their owners for you to enjoy true Tuscan hospitality.
Other activities
We will be happy to advise you on other activities in the area including, but not limited to: wine tasting, concerts (Andrea Bocelli's Teatro di Silenzio is in 20 min. drive), festivals, museums, events.
